NEWS | Kickstart placement flourishes at Acis

A graduate has shaken off the pandemic disappointment to kickstart her new career. 

Lucy Charlesworth finished university in 2020, in the middle of the Covid-19 Pandemic which unfortunately made it difficult for Lucy to find a job and make the next steps into a career.  

However, after being referred to the Kickstart Scheme in early February Lucy hoped to build her confidence, experience and find a suitable job placement that she would be able to get stuck into as soon as possible. 

Shortly after joining Riverside, Lucy found a placement which was of which was of interest to her as Business Administrator with us at Acis Group.  

After a successful interview Lucy started with us at the beginning of March. 

While Lucy had some experience, we were willing to work with her to ensure she received appropriate on the job training. 

During Lucy’s first month in the role she has settled in well and has begun to take the role on as her own. Lucy said: “I am enjoying my job, especially being able to interact with all of the different people. 

“It is giving me good experience, which I can pair with my degree to help with my future career”.
